Little gentleman

He just has that look doesn't he? He was wearing boots jeans and a button down shirt, just because.

my home planet

Taken in the driveway, made into a panorama and then a circle. Could be better, I did not get out the tripod, but it could be worse too. It was a fun experiment. I'm looking forward to finding places I'd like to try this with.

Jack, as in Jack O' Lantern, is a male orange tabby.

They are impossibly cute.

Surprises

The first year we lived in this house I was surprised in march when our side yard exploded in blue.

I look forward to them every year, they are one of the things that make this place home.

Subtle difference think I like the first one because you can see the road starting to curve.

broken hearted

this is on a tree at my house, when a limb must have come off long ago. It's too bad the tree is damaged it is a lovely large silver maple. Most likely the granddaddy of all the others on the property.

yard art

Not so much art I guess. Its a spool with some old barbed wire on it. It is hanging out in our yard.

what's in your wallet?

or who's in your fridge. I think maybe I'll take all the shelves out and use it as a light box, the light inside isn't bad. Santa and Santa got grounded, do you see the tear? the owners brother tore it.. and the untorn one has a smooshed face. Yeah.. the Santas got grounded.

I included this picture even though it isn't very creative, I could not help but chuckle over the hand position and the serious face. Kind of a sleeping "thinker"

and all is right with the world.

The lovely foamy swirl atop a Breve from our local coffee house. Its hard for the day to go wrong when you follow Church with that.

Throw in a slice of carrot cake to share with the hubby....
.... who got the last bite...
.. and hot chocolate for the kids..
.. and the morning is Complete.

Structure

This is the sun coming through the corn crib at our house. And the dog, doesn't she look so structured and uptight right there? She is watching my husband, whom she considers a god, and she is not about to let him out of her sight.

Ok, no creative photo today...

because I took a quick icky photo of my big bare wall over my big bare brick fireplace. I want to make a photo wall using some of my favorite prints.. and so I was thinking and brainstorming..

I'm asking for thoughts and opinions, This is a fast and loose interpretation of what I want to do, no formal cropping or sizing, but I made some a little bigger other smaller according to how I think they look good.

For reference, the fireplace is 7 ' wide and from the top to the ceiling is 4' 3". I'm thinking prints mounted on foam core so every once in a while I can change them out, add new favorites.

Thoughts opinions... lay it on me.

It's not a party without orange fluff

And it isn't Thanksgiving without the pumpkin pie.

At least that is what my nephew thinks. We always have orange fluff at every party. And if we don't he is sorely disappointed.

past

These grow out my back door, spring onion or chives or something. I never have figured out exactly what they are. But they pop up and bloom a pretty white flower, and like many of the bulbs around here they where a pleasant surprise the first year they bloomed.
