He just has that look doesn't he? He was wearing boots jeans and a button down shirt, just because.

Had to shoot a few shots of them before I let hubby mow them down.

my home planet

Taken in the driveway, made into a panorama and then a circle. Could be better, I did not get out the tripod, but it could be worse too. It was a fun experiment. I'm looking forward to finding places I'd like to try this with.

feeling witchy?

Yes I am; my latest knitting project, inspired by a girl's day out a few weekends ago. Going to try felting one and see how I like it.

Vicia dasycarpa - Smooth Vetch

Found by the side of the road, I had to do some digging to find out what plant it is. It was growing with pink flowers that I learned are Crown Vetch. I didn't get any pictures of the pink that really move me. They are just up the rod though, I'll have to try again soon.

Tragopogon dubius

Or Western or Yellow Salsify, The seed head of the yellow flower I posted a few weeks ago. I stopped on the road last week and cut a bunch of the seed heads before they where mowed down or rained on, my dining room table is littered with them. I'm determined to get some shots of the boys blowing the wishes off the stems.. but they are not home currently.

Laundry pile

Taken for a contest. Not very creative but very telling, as usually Scott's work jeans are the bulk of the laundry pile.

A flower and bud on the rosebush out my window.

Purple

These flowers pop up all over the farm. I have no idea what they are, but it makes me happy to see them stick their heads up all over.

windows to the soul

There is little else in this world that is the same as the deep dark liquid eye of a horse. Window to the soul indeed, this mare has a deep calm motherly soul, can you see it?

move with me

I love the way a field is worked at the edges, the way the lines made by the tractor follow the way a creek cuts through the land and then the way the green and brown lines move with the land as the field grows. It fascinates me to watch the lines change as I drive by and my perspective changes.

I did not really get the shot I wanted, so I'll have to drive out past this field again while the corn plants are still small.

Sunday in Indy

Seeing as I have never lived in a city, whenever I visit one of any size I always feel a bit like Alice in Wonderland. The beauty of a city is vastly different than the beauty of the wild flowers and plowed fields of home. One of the things I like most are the buildings, that reflect off one another, I snapped this shot of a building reflected in another from the car. I did not see until it was uploaded that there is a third building in the photo. I like it. :) I love the original gold color, but the Black and white really gives the photo the finishing touch. What do you think?

Little big man

My baby in suit, all grown up looking. Notice the top of his head is missing? Yes, it bugs me too.

Most of these are blurry, because I was trying not to laugh, the lil bugger has taken to leaving his face toward me and looking out the side of his glasses, and no matter what I say the smile has two speeds this mouth closed- semi smile or mouth open- teeth showing- more cheese than Wisconsin kinda smiles. And I don't shoot them constantly... they have no idea what some photographers children put up with.

wild pink rose bush

Bright pink confuses the sensor something fierce, it makes photographing bright pink flowers kind of a chore. The definition seems to get lost in the pink. This seemed to have the most definition of all my pictures of the rose bush and afterward I decided I really did not like that bud in the way, and I had like it there when I was shooting.

before and after.

My favorite yarn is being discontinued, so, I've had a mad hunt for what will fit in my budget that I can stash, because thee are 100 things I'd like to do with it. I discovered the other day that it felts.. So make that 200 things I could do with it. I dont know which special projects I will chose to do, but I think a few coffee cozies are in order. This is what the yarn looks like knitted.....

...and felted.
