the big 0 - 7

Turned the big 0 -7 and I have practically no photos of the evening because it was just so busy. But he is definitely growing up, notice the second photo, that grim look is a boy holding his temper because one of his cousins blew out the candles first.
I tried to PP the darkness and red out of the pics a bit. They are truly snapshots, but I'm ok with that.

green barn

without walking out down the muddy road at my friends house I could not seem to get an angle on this barn that really spoke to me. I do and don't like this picture. I think I should zoomed more with my feet, and focused more on the window frame.

halo

the sun rose with a halo, more than just those little sun dogs and before it disappeared it began to curve under, as the sun rose. I was waiting for Target to open, I'm glad I was there.

The Orpheum Theater

The Kindergarten and 1st Grade classes took a field trip downtown to see the stage production of "If You Give a Pig a Pancake and Other Stories" I went with as extra help, and any trip with the kids is fun. The production was put on in the historic Orpheum theater downtown. Built as a Vaudvill house in 1914, I feel we are lucky to have such a beautiful working theater where we live.

The low light inside made pictures difficult and few, but I snapped a few of the chandelier.

broken hearted

this is on a tree at my house, when a limb must have come off long ago. It's too bad the tree is damaged it is a lovely large silver maple. Most likely the granddaddy of all the others on the property.
